It's funny how much the weather can affect your mood, I personally love the cold and i find the sound of rain peaceful & calming, today was one of those days. Every now & then Rose & I realise how good we have it, working together on Oh Deer. After a big photoshoot yesterday with the gorgeous Merrin we have so much work to do on our computers, yet we have the freedom to take a little break and go on a coffee date :)

Naturally we went to Two Birds Gallery & Cafe! We feel less guilty about going to two birds for a break on a weekday because there is always the illusion that we are working :) Even if by working all we do is stock up our rack of treasures, it feels good & we are constantly reminded of how lucky we are to have such an amazing cafe, so close by, to both do business with & have our caffeine & sugar craving satisfied!

Coffee, baked almond cheesecake (to share) & a Chai Latte is our standard order, in fact we don't even have to ask now they just know as soon as we walk in the door! And thank you Kerry for throwing in that last scone, today was the perfect rainy day to visit our favourite cosy cafe :)

Drop on in if you are on the Central Coast of NSW - Two Birds Gallery & Cafe is on the Corner of Pacific Street & Bay Road Toowoon Bay!

Sometimes our studio photos just don't do outfits their full justice, so we wanted to show off how beautiful this dress looks outdoors amongst the breeze and afternoon sunset. Paired with a simple brown leather belt, clutch and some super cute vintage suede bow tie wedges from my personal collection :)

We cant wait to collect more pretty vintage dresses to pass onto our wonderful seamstress, and have them customised with this flattering high-low hem.

This would have to be one of my favourite skirts that I've come across so far in my times of sourcing vintage clothing, I love it's modest length, it's light, perfectly pleated and the thin black stripes give it a slightly nautical feel. It's versatile, perfect for layering and can be warn all year round. It also looks really cute dressed casually with tights & a long length chunky cardigan. Shown here on our beautiful model Merrin, I love how freely the skirt flows in the light afternoon breeze; the burgundy belt gives shape to the long sheer black blouse, and is the perfect addition to add a little colour, breaking up the black & white.

Vintage jewellery is one of my favourite things to source for our online store, so I thought I would share a little sneak peek of some of the necklaces that are hitting the this week. I was so happy to find lots of beautiful vintage lockets, crosses and best of all owls! The large golden owl is a Sarah Coventry piece from 1974! It's just amazing sourcing jewellery from over 30 years ago, they were treasured and kept with such love and care, so they are still in almost perfect condition!

My personal favourite would have to be the embroidered floral locket, it hangs on an extra long golden chain and is so whimsical and dainty with intricate hand-stitched floral detailing, the best part is, you can keep photos of loved ones inside :)
